Patient's Rights Charter

  1. The patient has the right to expect effective treatment and with full respect, regardless of racial, cultural or religious factors.
  2. The patient has the right to recognize the place of admission, the doctor, nurse, and other members of his treatment group if he wishes.
  3. The patient has the right to request information on the stages of diagnosis, treatment, and progression of the disease, either personally or, if he would like, through his relatives or companions. So that, in urgent medical circumstances, this should not lead to delay in the continuation of the treatment or the life-threatening phase of the disease.
  4. Prior to examination or treatment and according to patient's knowledge and perception, he has the right to ask his physician to receive the necessary information on possible complications or other therapeutic methods and participates in the final treatment selection.
  5. In accordance with the legal requirements to declare his personal consent leaving or visiting other treatment centers, the patient is entitled to discontinue treatment if he has a personal desire and do not put health of the community at risk.
  6. The patient has the right to ensure the contents confidentiality of the medical records, the results of the examinations and clinical advices, in order to protect his or her privacy, except in cases of the legal duties of the treatment group.
  7. The patient has the right to ensure the confidentiality of the doctor and other members of his treatment team.
  8. The patient has the right to ensure access to the physician and other main members of the treatment group during the period of hospitalization and post-discharge.
